How He loves us...

One of my absolute favorite songs out there right now is "How He loves us" by the David Crowder Band. It stops me in my tracks every time and I have cried during this song more than once. It's a simple, but beautiful song. A true reminder that no matter what God loves you. It light of the tragic days behind and those that seem to keep popping up, I thought it was appropriate to remind myself of how much I am loved by such a gracious and sovereign God.

These are the words to the song and there is a link to a you tube video (with lyrics) if you'd like to listen. I recommend you take the time to do so. He has, does, and always will love you.

He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realise just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us so,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all

Yeah, He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves.

We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
And Heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way…
