Happy Halloween

The kids had a blast last night trick or treating, though Simeon was definitely ready to go home by the time we were done. We had to create a new route this year, which was really just our old route in reverse, but it still was a little odd. Down our street, over to Laura's and Sharon's and then to our friends on Oxford. Alice really liked her tiara, but she didn't much like anything else. She walked to the first two houses, but even candy couldn't make her like people enough to go up to any more. She was mostly along for the ride, and since she wouldn't have gotten much of her candy anyway, that was ok. Sophia and Simeon were very excited. Sophia ran ahead all night while Simeon tried his hardest to keep up. At every house the front steps were a bit of a challenge for his poor little legs.

I was really happy with how his costume turned out. I liked the girls' too, but I make dresses all the time and that wasn't any fun. His was fun to make and it was really cute on him, even though it wouldn't fasten all the way at the bottom and I had to pin it closed. Still on the chubby side, but what prince isn't a little round in the belly right? :)

I cannot take credit for this idea, but I thought it would be fun. Luckily it was warm enough to walk around like this all night. Baby #4 went as a jack-o-lantern this year, even though she's only 26 weeks along. :)
