Fair Fun

I feel as if laundry has been pouring out of my ears for days. I guess that's what happens when you move and your washer doesn't get hooked up right away. You wear everything you own, scatter those pieces of clothing throughout as many rooms of the house as you can and leave them there for an untold amount of days. Then finally you get your washer hooked up and you spend an eternity trying to catch up and wondering why on earth your family has so many t-shirts.

Yesterday was Jacob and my 6th wedding anniversary. We celebrated by going to the State Fair kid-free. Glorious. There were a few times when I felt a little bad about it. Seeing some things that I knew they would have loved to play on or see, but for the most part it was just awesome being together and doing what we wanted with out little feet slowing us down. We even took a trip on the shuttle around the fair grounds. Not incredibly exciting, but not something you can do with a double stoller in tow. We ate the appropriate amount of greasy fair food and drank more mountain dew than anyone probably should. It was just fun. We decided to leave a little earlier than we were going to and skip fair dinner and go somewhere nice. Sadly we didn't spend much more by going to a restaurant. We came home and watched a movie in our strangely quiet house. It was just fun. I can't remember the last time we spent a whole day and night together, just the two of us.
